Mine was spliced and solder as I took it out, previous owner must had it done I suppose. At the end noticed, you must have had to take out las 4 screws to plug to the ballast the covering cup plug. Tip: if you push a 10mm socket over the black clip, the fog light pulls right out from the front. It pushes the tabs down making it slide right out.

If you are replacing the entire assembly, can you not just pull the assembly from the front without going under by pinching the side clips that hold the assembly? there are a couple videos that talk about it but none has been very clear and informative.

The video helped so much but I wanted to add a few points. First, I found that you do not have to pop off the black plastic pierce at the rear of the fog lamp lens casing (part of the lens adjustment). Instead, use long needle nose players to squeeze the flexible tabs on both sides and push the lens casing out. Second, unlike the casing falling out there are 2 tubular extrusions on the side of the casing that snap into the metal tabs on housing for the lens. My lens required a flat head screw driver to pry the inside tab open a little to release the tubular extrusions on lens casing. On install, the black plastic knob (part of the lens adjustment) just pops thru and in pushing the lens into the metal housing (attached to the car) the tubular side extrusions) just pop in. May need a little prying on the metal tabs. Thank you for the video. I was lost until I found your video. Could not see how to remove the front/side grill; after that every thing fell into place. One more thing: I matched the aiming setting on the old lens to the new lens casing prior to install so no need to readjust aiming.

I did this but it comes up that it's low battery and sometimes it go's out with this setup. What could be going on with it. I still have to unhook it and start over again sometimes to get it back up and running.

Thanks, that was a life saver. You're right, no one else's video actually showed the removal process - that I could find. I wasn't quite able to follow your method. I had to push in the tabs of that black round plastic piece - but at least you showed the area that had to be released. I would have been lost without your video. My bulb holder was so gunked up that I could not rotate it while on the car. I had to pull it through from the outside. Then I had to put it in a vice to remove the bulb holder from the Fog Light Assembly. Kudos.
